This guy saved our day! No taxis anywhere to be found in Teignmouth, Gems came out of their way and and took us home. Would have had to have walked otherwise! Thanks again!

taxi turned up over an hour late. we phoned to find out where it was to be told it had broken down and they were sending another taxi and it would be 5 minutes. we phoned again after 20 minutes to find out where it was to be told it would be ten minutes. in the end it was over an hour late and when it arrived it didnt have enough seats for my family. The taxi driver had no idea of our destination really awful service, would not bother again with this company.

Spoke to a man from gems taxis for a taxi from Bristol airport to newton abbot, took him 2 days to get the boss (Gem) to call me to tell me he can do it, then offered me a different price to what I was offered before so said he’d find the person who gave me that price and get back to me, not a single phone call back, so I called back and spoke to the man I spoke to originally and said I’d pay the price that gem said as long as they are there on time, as I was about to board our flight I rang again to double check that they would be there. We arrived back to Bristol, rang gems 10 minutes in advance which they asked me to do so they didn’t have to pay the parking fee, which I did and they told me no one was there, spoke to the original man again who said he would ring Gem as he’s supposed to be doing the journey and rang me back to say it wasn’t booked as he had no flight numbers or anything which I gave to them at the time of booking. Honestly fuming. A very unreliable taxi firm will not ever use them or recommend them to anybody. Service: Limousines

If I could give 0 stars I would. Called on behalf of a vulnerable customer who's phoned had died. Received an extremely rude response when following up on a booking for said customer. Booking had been cancelled, for valid reason I was unaware of but firm refused to speak to the customer to explain this to them. Very rude to me when I was only trying to help out a stranger and ultimately put the phone down on me. Would not recommend this taxi firm at all.

Made an online booking which was not replied to. I then made a telephone booking for later in the day. When the time came no taxi, so I rang them and they said they didn't know where the driver was!!! Driver eventually came but was so late I had to make alternate arrangements. This seems a regular theme with Taxi firms in Newton Abbot 😡

The drivers have been a lifeline for us as we live out of town & are not able to drive ourselves! With exception to one undesirable experience which was quickly resolved everyone at Gems have been so helpful to us over a long period now! Felt I couldn’t give less than 5 stars due to the Service offered and friendship shown! They are a wonderful group of dedicated people and richly deserve all praise given!! Thanks guys!!

Booked a return journey, they turned up for the first leg. Then didn't show for the return. I phoned but got told they didn't have the booking. After trying to reason with the driver this had obviously gone through too, he hung up on me! I used a reputable company to get home...I since messaged the company requesting an explanation but no response. Please don't use!

If I could leave no stars I would. Driver picked us up had no seatbelt on, felt very unsafe in car then charged us an extortinate fare for a journey less than 3 minutes. They then failed to turn up for the return. journey leaving us stranded on holiday. Main office didn't care and told us that he hasn't picked us up because we hadn't paid the surcharge. We did pay it. AVOID!!!!

precooked taxi 2 hours in advance for a train journey. 5 minutes after pick up past called turn. They had bad news for me and have been ‘trying’ to call me for the past 10 minutes (I had no missed calls). They had been ‘trying’ to get another taxi out to me but hadn’t been successful. Missed my train. Not impressed.
