Only ate a full day breakfast there. Was amazing!! There was quite a long wait (40mins) understandable as it was a Saturday morning. No tea or coffee, but the lady behind the bar gave us soft drinks and didn't charge us for them. Food & drinks: Great full breakfast... and more importantly... it was hot!! Not warm! Was lovely.

Promises much from the exterior, but doesn't live up to expectations within, a tired, unloved interior, with everyone from staff to customers happy to accept 2nd best, more effort needed.

Very nice roast dinner, friendly staff just under new management, so to early to judge but first impressions were v sat.

Nice little pub but extremely run down the roof leaks badly with water running down the walls, the floor has lifted in places and the toilets are horrible. This place could do with a massive overhaul and bring it back to where it should be so people can enjoy it. The staff are friendly and service is quick.

Ordered the Union Burger and Cod & Chips both huge serving and 5* both for only £14. Ordered Three drinks and for food and drinks it came to £21. We had eaten out the previous day in Brixham and same meal cost us over £60. If your in the town I'd definitely recommend The Union. Friendly staff and really good food with a good selection of meals. And the Burger was amazing

Three of us called in for lunch, fish and chips for two one roast dinner & some beers &. lagers, everything spot on really fresh clean and served hot nice drinks ,great value, it will now be a regular when we visit Newton Abbott. Well done

Lovely pub lovely staff and can see they have done alot to the place as down stairs looks great would stay again if the rooms were at a better standard which I'm sure will be getting round to at some point some issues with maintenance needed I.e tv signal cable didn't work properly when there and fire alarm hanging from the ceiling and no where to hang clothes. Rooms just need alot of tlc but all round food great staff great and locals are friendly to and would stay again

We stumbled in the pub and so glad we did,it's a lovely pub,very friendly people and great drinks,the food menu looked nice and we will definitely be going back when we are next in the area

Had a breakfast today second time in a week. Great service from Tania and great quality of food. Presentation excellent, lovely clean plate of food from tony the chef. Barney couldn't make it today but he loves the sausage's brilliant value defo recommend.

Very poor, visited as they advertised they were part of the Great British Pubs promotion. All the details of the pub were correct, the free drinks were correct but the new ‘manager’ didn’t know anything about it so despite me showing her proof via email and the website offer she left me standing at the bar for a few minutes before coming back saying ‘I’m not going to do anything about it as I don’t know anything about it’. If she really is a manager she failed to manage the situation at all leaving a dissatisfied new customer and the pub short of a meal I was going to order to enjoy at the same time. Brilliant customer service, how long before the pub starts to struggle with dreadful customer service like this?
